Been cooking BBQ 40 years and in 2009 I decided to go to Le Cordon Bleu to help me make better BBQ.
I grew up in Texas and I've been eating BBQ for the better part of 50 years. I love Pulled Pork, Brisket, Chicken, Baby Back Ribs, and all the sides that go with it. My wife and I opened this restaurant because no one around our area made BBQ the way I like it.

Will is a Texas-bbq-inspired smokemeister. What started originally as a hot dog joint where he occasionally smoked a few meats has turned into a full-fledged bbq joint (yes, dogs can still be gotten). And thank goodness for that.
We got the ribs, brisket and pulled pork and they were just right -- moist, meaty, flavorful. The potato salad is homemade as well, and contains hardboiled eggs chopped up, with a dash of spiciness to it.
Isn't this address in HOFFMAN ESTATES rather than ROSELLE ?

ReplyDeleteBeen wanting to try this place for a while, and when I finally did, I was VERY impressed. The smell of the joint was amazing. I think they opened the smoker right when I got there. Service was great. Food was great. I tried, like, 5 different sauces on the very ample amount of fries given with the meal. Overall was very impressed and I hope this place stays in business for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this place. I love BBQ and there is nowhere in this area to get it just like Will says on the website. I drove by a bunch of times and kept telling myself next time you order out don't forget about this place. Well now it's the only place I order out. I've never been disappointed. The food is delicious, the sauces perfect, and the portions for what you pay cannot be beat. I get excited every time I know I'll be ordering from Smokin Will's. Oh and the potato salad is the best you've ever had.
